- Ways and quantity of paper used everyday
- History of papermaking
- Exploration of plants used to make paper
- Mixing pulp
- Forming a sheet of paper
- Development of paper into artwork, book, or other product
Objectives:
- Teach students what it is like to be an artist
- Make students aware of how paper is made, how much we use and how it impacts our environment
- Tie history to the development of paper and it's gradual spread throughout the world
- Allow students to try their hand at making paper
- Show students how to use handmade paper to create a finished work of art
