  • Ways and quantity of paper used everyday
  • History of papermaking
  • Exploration of plants used to make paper
  • Mixing pulp
  • Forming a sheet of paper
  • Development of paper into artwork, book, or other product

Objectives:

  • Teach students what it is like to be an artist
  • Make students aware of how paper is made, how much we use and how it impacts our environment
  • Tie history to the development of paper and it's gradual spread throughout the world
  • Allow students to try their hand at making paper
  • Show students how to use handmade paper to create a finished work of art
