July 2010 Artist: Photography by Daniel King

Daniel is an educator, photographer, and film artist from Columbus, Ohio. Following his studies at CCAD, Daniel survived the military and the advertising industry. He dreams of one day building an urban retreat for socially responsible creative experimentation. He exhibits photographs and video-film work around Ohio, across the US and in Canada.

"I am interested in a practice of photographic image making where context becomes relevant, where truth can mix with fiction and personal experience wears the clothing of myth. The images in my GROUNDED series are dead birds cannibalized in the desert; these multi-million dollar corpses fade in the wide open western United States." - Daniel King
